Here are some things I'll remember from the Cook's time in Billings:
- During church last week we experienced our first tornado in Billings (the first one since 1958!). It was about a mile a way and shredded what was known as the Metra Park. I've got to say that we Memphians considered it no big deal when we heard the tornado sirens while the Billings folks were calm (not knowing what the sirens were) or completely freaking out.
- The sweet 1 ton Dodge diesel truck we borrowed from a friend... SWEET! Thanks Tye!
- Seeing a grizzly bear a few hundred yards from our camp site. We learned after the fact that on the same day a guy was mauled in the park by a grizzly. Could it have been the same bear??
- Grace vomiting in her high chair at my favorite breakfast place in Jackson (poor thing!).
- Watching Nathan ride a horse!
- Taking all of the kids riding on Buck and Smoky.
- The rodeo in Jackson... someone died while riding saddle bronc. I've never seen such a thing and hope to never see an event such as this again. Tragic.
- Elijah left for his very first trip by himself as he flew with the Cook's to Nashville to visit Mimi and Papa.
- The absolute quietness after everyone left, including my son!
